Stretching without the aid of a taper, just slowly pushing in a round ended piece of jewellery. Of course only do this once your ears are ready, ie you feel no resistance at all.

Ah okay, thanks. Having considered all the good advice on here I've decided to stretch using septum keepers, dead stretching on the tiny sizes but I'm going to use tapers to get from 3.2mm-4mm and then up to my target size.

One other thing I'm intrigued about is triangular plugs. According to the product description lobes will "adapt" to the shape. Is this adaption permanent or will it easily go back to a round plug? Sorry if that's a silly question...

Triangular plugs don't cause permanent shape distortion no, lobes will go back to normal shape when they are removed. The only problem is they can often cause pressure build up at the "points" of the triangle, which equals a sore lobe. They should only be worn for a short period of time.

If you wear them long enough, the pressure will cause thin spots, and then your ears will permently look a bit triangle-y.
But mostly just ugly and gross.
    Like squares..

I have a sudden wet ear (swollen, sore and very soggy). NO idea what caused it.
How to fix? Naked ears now
I don't think its tears or anything.. Just seems like a HUGE amount of soggy ear cheese :gross: And a rather swollen lobe

The other ones feeling a bit itchy today as well :(

Just wondering, what's the best starting point? I know most go for a 1.6mm, but a piercer near me starts with 2.5. I only want to stretch to 3mm, but is starting at 2.5 a bad idea?
