Could take 2 days, could take 2 months, could be longer. Could be never. All you can do is just take them out and see!

Scary Miss Mary - try changing jewellery, some people have more success with Bioplast or maybe PTFE. Might help them finally settle down.

Thank you, I may try that
Just another quick question; what's the difference between PTFE and Bioplast? I'm guessing stretching is a no-no until it never hurts, even when knocked?

From what you've said I wouldn't recommend stretching yet.
PTFE and Bioplast are different materials, but have similar properties - both can be autoclaved (although Bioplast can only be autoclaved up to 121C) and they are both flexible and can both be trimmed down to fit perfectly. Bioplast comes in more colours, PTFE is usually just solid white. There's a much wider range of Bioplast jewellery available - there's lots to choose from on this site, with various ends/colours/whatever.

    Thank you, Kate ^ ^
I'll invest in some Bioplast or PTFE studs and see how they go, I'll try anything I can to speed the things up! :P

Is it lobes you're taping? I've never needed long plugs/tunnels to tape with

I can't think of any reason you'd need longer plugs than usual (for your ears), it can be a little tricky getting the o-rings on with the tape so I guess longer plugs would make that easier but not really necessary I don't think
