Default Is it time to give up on my helix piercing?

I've got a helix piercing on each side of my ears but one is having more trouble than the other. It just won't heal and it's been over a year now. Today I noticed a really sharp nasty pain in it and I checked and it seems like it's no longer straight? It's sort of like it's been moved at an angle and the bar is not straight. Is it salvageable? Or is this a sign it's growing out and it needs to come out? I'm completely lost as this has never happened before. Here's a pic on what it looks like, very swollen. I know I shouldn't keep my fingers around it but it was really hard to get a pic without moving it with my fingers

    Hi,

    The picture isn't working.
I suggest visiting a piercer for a professional opinion.
    Was it pierced with titanium?
