Default Tragus healing - no signs of the friendly crusties

Hi. I am following the cleaning guidance from my piercer following a tragus. I have the correct metal and gauge.
It doesn't hurt. My question is why no crust or debris? Do I just keep cleaning. It didn't bleed either.

My nose last year gave me hell. I guess I'm expecting to see something.

Last question - when is it ok to sea swim.

    Thanks

No crust or debris is, I would think, a good sign of no irritation. If it stays like that then I'd be extremely happy. Maybe try just a daily rinse in clean water under the shower and see how it goes. You can always go back to the original regime if it doesn't feel right. We all heal differently.

Depends.... Strictly speaking then not until it is healed. If you continue your healing with no problems at all then that could be as soon as 3 months. If you are gentle swimming without fully submerging your head then then maybe after 8 weeks but rinse as soon as possible with clean water.
It would also be worth checking what your piercer recommends.
Hope you continue to heal well!

You are really lucky with your piercing!

I wish mine were like that lol... As TikiMan says to still daily rinse under the shower. I had a friend who had no problems with an eyebrow piercing many years ago that he didn't bother cleaning it. They ended up with an infection in the end. (I am not saying you will but, it is best to keep it clean).

I don't tend to get crusties for the first few weeks then they can kick in sometimes a little, sometimes a lot, sometimes in-between. As for sea swimming it depends on the quality of the water tbh! If it's a super clean beach and you can rinse with plain water after then 1-2 months old is fine.
