    Default Nipple Piercings & Pregnancy

Did anyone keep their nipple rings in during pregnancy? I will obviously take them out towards the end to BF . Will my holes close up? Would they need to be completely re pierced in the future or can they still get them back say 1 year later post baby? I've had them done now for 3 years.

Sorry.....as a bloke I can't comment from personal experience but everyone is different and as your body changes both chemically and anatomically then you may need to make changes or ultimately remove. Generally though there is no problem with nipple piercings during pregnancy other than you may get some leakage once milk is in production. My friend was able to keep hers and managed to slip them in and out to feed but again it is extremely variable from person to person. She used longer bars too due to the increase in nipple size.

Hard to answer as it depends on your anatomy. Better chance of saving the piercing if it is a larger gauge I would think but it may well end up with a repierce.

My wife wasn't able to keep hers - yes, in theory you can take the bars out - feed baby then put them back in but in reality this is difficult to achieve.
Think about it - getting up in the middle of the night for a feed, having to take bars out, feed then put them back in - keeping your piercings might not be top priority. Or feeding in public - can you really take nipple jewellery out and insert it in public?

TikiMan is right though - everyone is different. You might be able to slip the jewellery in and out quickly and discretely.

Maybe give it a try and if it works - great, if not, repiercing isn't the end of the world.

Either way, please let us know how you fare.

Thanks guys. With repiercing, it would essentially be starting over right? Wouldn't be like an ear piercing that you kind of just push it through and it finds the hole again.

Yes it would be a new piercing if repierced but if you are lucky with your body and they don't fully close then it may well be possible to tease them open again with a taper pin and lube. You never know but the holes may help with feeding and that in turn may keep them open. Whatever you do don't force them though and get your self down to a really good piercer who may be able to assist without the full repierce.
    Hope that helps a little.
