    Default Nipple piercings

Have my nipples pierced for over a year now and love them. They look and feel perfectly healed, but still some crusties form on the rings. Itís not a big deal - just wondering if itís normal. Never had this with my other piercings.

It's not common to my knowledge but it can happen. It's not easy without seeing the problem either.
What jewellery do you have in there (type, size, gauge, material) and have you ever changed it or thought about changing it?
You could also consider going to your pro piercer and asking what they think may be going on too.

Thanks for the reply. I have 8g bcrís in stainless steel. Maybe I should try titanium or a bio flex bar for a while. I stretched from 10g to 8g about 6 months ago so maybe I should go back but donít want to give up the stretch just yet.

Defo don't give up the stretch for now but personally I would change from stainless steel to mirror polished implant grade titanium as it's more hypoallergenic than steel and lighter which I find better with stretches until the fistula has settled and thickened up again.
If you stretch again then it will likely lymph a bit again which is normal. Hopefully changing to titanium may help but give it a few weeks to see how you respond if you do change.
Let us know how you get on.

So long as the piercings are deep enough then 6g (4mm) should be fine. Personally I would leave one and half times your initial healing time minimum between stretches to give the nipple time to adjust and reshape.

Thanks again for the advice. Theyíre pieced at the base of the nipple so I think they are deep enough. I will wait at least another 6 months.

Thanks again for your help. They are pierced at the base so are pretty deep. I will wait at least six months before the stretch.

Just want to thank the forum and in particular TikiMan for your advice. Since changing to titanium rings 6 weeks ago my nipple are completely healed - no crusties and feel and look great. Thanks again.
