Thread: Helix ring too tight?

  1. #1

    Question Helix ring too tight?

    Hi guys,

Two days ago I got a helix piercing by needle. However, I'm worried that the ring is too tight. You can see a photo here: iamwill.io/sandbox/IMG_20190328_073503.jpg

I like how it looks, but I'm just worried that the pressure on the outside will cause longterm damage and may even alter the shape of my ear over the years.

    Should I be worried?

Go back and ask for it to be changed out asap, it's way too tight.

Agreed.... I'd be returning. Just a thought and from previous experience..... maybe consider a bar rather than hoop for the initial healing. It will likely minimise trauma and the bump developing so much.

Thanks for the advise guys. I went to a different piecer to ask the same, and they said the exact same as you - I have had it switched to a stud for the next 4 months.
