I freaking adore navel piercings on men. There's just something about them (trying not to sound too creepy here lol).

I agree. Such a rare piercing for a guy to get though. More guys should get one!

End of week 2 and both piercings seem happy .

    Nipple:
Since having the bar replaced last week with the longer one.... My nipple has relaxed nicely and is so comfortable. I've had no tenderness or lymph/crusties so far although I have no doubt it will have it's moments soon enough .
    Navel:
There is now no sting at all when gently cleaning and the piercing feels comfortable. The lean on the ring has not moved anymore which is great. The small red rings are more purple coloured now. There's been a small amount of lymph but not as much as I thought there would be and it's very early days.

Still really happy with the way things are going so far. On with the healing

On men having pierced navels, I had mine done a few years ago and I've never seen another man with it done (at the swimming pool, gym etc). So knowing a few others also have one is nice to know.

When it was first pierced, I had a standard 1.6mm curved bar with a bigger ball at the bottom. I really liked it. Last year I got my piercer to fit a 8g ring, small diameter of about 8 to 10mm. She had quite a problem getting the ball to pop in as it is such a stiff ring so it's very secure. I like it, it doesn't look feminine at all.

That's good to hear Mat. 8g (3.2mm) or ultimately 6g (4mm) is where I'd like to be but I won't even consider that until well healed like yours obviously was. How did you find the stretch?
I'll have missed a couple by being pierced at a 10g (2.4mm) but hopefully all will eventually go well.

The heavier gauges with small diameter rings is tough on the old grip but for some weird reason I like the security of standard clip-in balls rather than the spring loaded easy-clips or screw-in balls.

Forgot to mention, I went from 1.6 to 2.0mm first, before stretching to 3.2mm. The piercer did this for me, I’m not confident in doing it myself. From memory it was easy although going to 3.2 (8g) was a little tight to start off with.

As I said, I really like it and I think it looks pretty good.

Not surprised it was a little tight considering you skipped a gauge but sounds great.

I am shocked to know that a man can undergo navel piercing. I got mine a couple of years ago as I find it fascinating especially when it's summer.

Really? Why so? their navel anatomy is no different to women.
