    Default Nipple Piercings & Pregnancy

I'm not pregnant, but am starting to plan! Did you guys keep your piercings in? Obviously i will have to take them out to breast feed, but do you think the holes will close? Has anyone got them re- pierced post-pregnancy or did the holes stay open enough to get them back in? I love my piercings and really don't want to retire them completely!

    Thanks

    Hi bellada210

Idk too much about this. Think some ppl keep them in and breastfeed, some take them out for feeding (not handy if feeding in public!) and most take them out for good.

Not sure what I'd do. My nips were inverted before I got them pierced. I'd probably be in a situation where I couldn't feed with them in or out!
    Piercings:
Nose, tongue, navel, both nipples horizontally, VCH, septum

    Tattoos:
Line of butterflies from lower belly round onto back and up to my shoulder, garter tatt on left thigh.

You can keep them in during and after. When breastfeeding you will have to be extremely sure about the quality and tightness of the jewellery to minimise the risk of a choking hazard to baby. Many do end up taking them out.

So if i do take them out, the holes will most likely close up and i will have to get them re-done right?

It would depend on how old they are, your anatomy, the gauge they were done at, how they healed etc etc

You may find they heal up totally (repierce needed), heal up partially (repierce or taper open), shrink in gauge (taper open) or stay open.

My personal opinion is that if you remove your nipple piercings it is unfortunately very likely they'll heal over and need to be re pierced so I'd avoid doing so if possible
Current piercings: Horizontal Nipples 2.4 mm, 4 mm, Tongue 10 mm, Navel rejected, o smiley/frenulum 1.6mm
