Cool Jewelry sizes for new piercings ?

    Hi Guys & Galls,

    I'm considering 2 new piercings, a septum piercing & a tongue piercing.

So my question is what is considered to be a good size for the jewelry in both these piercings ?

When I had my RPA done I let my piercer decide on the size of CBR that was fitted, to be honest I don't remember being consulted about size at all. Once the piercing was well healed I started to upsize, this took quite a while to do !

Which is why I don't want to start too small with any new piercings !

I would appreciate your thoughts fellow piercees !

    If you're talking about gauge:

Tongues are usually done at 1.6mm (14g) minimum.
Septums it depends on the piercer, some do them at 1.6mm (14g) some do them at 1.2mm (16g).

Neither should be done any lower than what I said, both can be done larger.

Regarding length/diameter: This is anatomy dependent.
    Piercings: 6 lobes, 2 12mm stretched lobes, 4 helices, 3 tragus, daith, 2 nostril, 2.4mm VCH, 2.4mm daith
    Modifications: 5mm septum punch,
    coinslot ear cartilage removal
Cosmetic Modifications: Scar removal x4, semi permanent eyebrows, semi permanent eyeliner, lip dermal filler
Retired Piercings: 3 nipple, tongue, 4 philtrum, 4 eyebrow, 2 outer labia, VCH, 1 lobe, rook, nostril, 3 nape MDs, 2 wrist MDs, septum, 3 upper conch, conch, 5 helices
    Tattoos: 86 hours

    What Hazel said.

My tongue piercings are 1.6 and septum 1.2.
You could do a 1.6 septum easily, I prefer the narrower gauge as I think it is more feminine
Going larger than 1.6 means less selection of jewellery which may or may not matter to you.
    Got: double snakebites|central lip|labret|2x centre tongue|philtrum|angel bites|smiley|septum|2 pairs nostrils|3 pairs eyebrows|bridge|15 & 16 (l&r) lobe/cartilage, rook, 2x tragus, 2x forward helix, conch (both ears symmetrical)|3x navel (70 holes in total)

Want: Everything, slowly building up my piercings over time.
Next up: third pair nostrils; venoms; maybe something genital
