    Default Tongue piercing vein??

    [IMG][/]Hi,
i went to a piercing shop several years ago to see if i could get my tongue piercing. The second my tongue left my mouth, i was told i have a vein and i was unable to get it pierced. Now, this piercing shop was the only one in the area that would pierce under 16s (i was 14/15 at the time) and it is not the best shop in the area, so i was sceptical he was incorrect based on this and the lack of examination. I've checked my tongue and i have two large veins at either side and a white line in the middle which looks absolutely nothing like a vein. I've attached a hq photo of my tongue, could anyone possibly tell me if i do in fact have a vein? thanks

Only a highly experienced piercer can assist you. I suggest you see someone else for a second opinion. From that single photo it looks ok, however they need to manipulate the tongue and have a good look and feel to ascertain if your anatomy is correct.
