    Default Ever worn labret/barbell jewelry?

    Which is better?
Looking for ear lobe. I have worn barbell but never labret. Compare them...

    Besides this, ever worn threadless?

Hello! I have tried both of these. I've never tried threadless and don't think I will as I don't fancy using them.

I had my second lobes pierced with barbells - very easy to clean (I didn't want them pierced with a gun and the piercer only had one Labret so had to have barbells). I can only use titanium or niobium as I have got an allergy. In those days you never had much of a choice either - not like now. I had my mid lobes (Helix's) pierced recently with barbells as I thought they would be easier for me - how wrong I was. I couldn't even sleep on a pillow or a travel pillow until they were changed to labrets.

I had to very slightly stretch my lower ear lobes to get my labrets in but, it was fine. They are very comfy and good for the price. When I used to have a shower I lost no end of ear-rings in the wet room drain as they used to get ripped out somehow with my buff puff. They were quite expensive ear-rings as well. I used to also get ear-rings caught in coats/clothing. If you use labrets you can just change the ball if you want a colour change. I am very happy with them as I don't catch them anymore. The labrets I have got have slightly longer posts I like the gap for them to breathe and not feel tight. Hope this helps.

All my lobe and helix piercings are Neometal threadless labrets and I love them, I've never lost any, they have a lifetime guarantee, come in a great range of styles, sizes, price points and colours etc. I've had barbells in a few and find my hair catches on them more and they're not as comfy to sleep on.

I don't know if it is just me or not. I decided to take all my labret posts out of my ear lobes to clean and change them. Oh, my word. It took me ages to get the balls off and a nightmare to get them back in again. Do they get much better with practice?
