Default Scary Daith Piercing, help :S ( gross pics)

So i've had this daith piercing for about three weeks. Boy, it has been trouble.. I've never had a cartilage piercing which has been so upset.

Within the first week it swelled up, was aching and was very hot.

However now the swelling has calmed down... much to my relief.. It produces plenty of crust on the around the top hole. which is more on a yellowy/greeny side, it doesn't smell however. It also has a bump on it.. typically it doesn't hurt, it's slightly sore if I move the area. Has a tiny bit of swelling.. Area around it ISN'T hot. Yet the crust is not a normal lymph.

. So I assumed it was infected, I went to the doctors and I was perscribed with flucloxacillin (oral antibiotic)... which didn't really change anything.

Ive just been continuing to clean it with a saline soak and today it seemed better, less discharge and the bump had calmed down slightly... I was a bit rigid with cleaning the bottom hole and accidentally i twisted the bar... the ball went through the piercing (or perhaps the bump??) and half of the jewellery was hanging out?! I had to push it back in! Now i'm scared... is it rejecting? Why did it go through the piercing like that?

I'm not sure what to do with this catastrophe anymore.

Here's a picture of my piercing with its crust.. make your verdicts please.

    (Warning pretty gross pictures)

Cartilage can swell a huge amount so I'd say the bar is far too short. Have a good piercer change it for a longer one or even a CBR might be better.

Out of interest, what material is the bar?

According to the website they use G23 titanium jewellery.

I was thinking the jewellery was quite short also.

Ok, was just wondering if a reaction to the jewellery could be a possibility - A titanium allergy is very rare but it can happen. I think it's more likely a vicious circle of the short jewellery causing pressure which leads to swelling, causing more pressure, etc. Definitely get it switched out ASAP.

It does sound infected. By the way, your photos were removed.
