    Default Daith piercings relieving migraines???

I saw this on a body piercer's Facebook page the other day. I had never heard of it before and was wondering how credible this is?? How does it work if it really does relieve migraines??

"GOT MIGRAINES? The piercings in these pictures are called Daith piercings. They not only look cool as hell but they can aid in Migraine relief. I have had many migraine sufferers either have good to fair results, or total Migraine relief. Please share this post to those that you know with Migraines. I make no guarantee on how it will work for them but I'm sure people reading this that have or know someone who has these piercings will give testimonial to how they work."

I've heard it mentioned before and have known 2 people to say it helped theirs a little but one reckons it's because she got older and grew out of them like her mother did and the other I haven't heard from for some times.

I've had mine years, never had migraines before and have had 3 since getting it lol!

I'm a sceptical on the effectiveness as there's no real medical evidence to back it up.

I'd also avoid any piercer who claims it is true or tries to get clients based on it being a magic cure.

I have heard this, and I will say I haven't had a migraine since getting mine pierced.

But I also haven't had one since switching my birth control or having my boob job, and all three happened in the same week. I'm choosing to take that with a grain of salt.

Hmm. I've never heard of this but come to think of it I've had hardly any migraines since I got my daith piercing, and I used to get them often. I wouldn't go and get a piercing in the hopes of migraine relief though.

I saw a similar post a few days ago and someone mentioned acupuncture can help find the spot to pierce to relieve migraines. It looks very anatomy dependant.

I used to get migraines all the time but haven't had one since I had my son 3 years ago. Very weird.

Yup, I don't think I'd like my sessions if she was using 14g blade needles LOL!
