I know the feeling, I've had a couple of failed ones recently so I'm a bit wary of my septum, hoping it's going to behave.
    2g lobes, 18g forward helix (L), 14g Conch (L), 16g Double helix (L) 14g Daith (R), and 18g right nostril. 16g Septum.
    2 hours of ink.
    Retired: Gunned 20g lobes many years ago, 16g Tragus, 18g third (L), 18g Forward helix (bottom of double)(L) 14g Philtrum x 2, 18g second (L).

Honestly, don't worry! Cartilage can take over a year to heal so please don't get panicky at 2 weeks. My helix which I've had pierced for nearly 5 years still flares up every now and again! I tend to find the LITHA method works best for me, I SSS the first day to get rid of any blood (or any day after) but other than that, they're left well alone! Sometimes more is worse for me.

It looks amazing, I'd love to get my rook or a triple forward helix pierced (maybe even both on different ears) but I'd like to wait it out until next year time to let my other piercings heal up fully. Have you encountered any issues with the rook since the previous posts?

Thank you, it's definitely my favourite out of the piercings I have, I just think rooks look so dainty and cute! It's been pretty uneventful since my last post, it's settled down really quickly with no problems at all which is great. Went back to see my piercer for a check up and he said that I should be able to downsize it to a shorter bar within the next 2 weeks! I can now sleep comfortably on my rook so I decided to get a helix piercing on my right ear earlier this week as well - I wanted a forward helix but my piercer said he wouldn't feel confident doing it as I have such small ears :( it's a bit bumpy and swollen as I had some scarring from a previous piercing but I'm hoping it should settle down soon more recent picture of my rook here: http://tinypic.com/r/10sd7jl/8
Currently have: lobes x 3, tragus, rook, conch, nostril, navel
    Retired: helix, rook x 2
Wishlist: outer conch, daith, forward helix, inverse navel, helix x 2

I completely agree, after looking at my own forward helix it looks fairly small too, I've also seen lots of pictures of them in rather awkward positions due to the rook area being in the way. I'm definitely going to get my rook done soon.
