The only time I ever got a piercing with a gun was when i was child for my ear lobe piercings other than that I say needles are best.

    Wow, http://www.claires.co.uk/all/ear-pie...cing-container

We ought to have a warning sticky about that!

Says they do cartilage too and that it heals in 12 weeks.

"Duel lobe piercing – Is exclusive to Claire’s. It involves two ear piercing specialists piercing both ears simultaneously and is a great option for young children, just ask us for details.
We recommend booking this service with your chosen stores to avoid disappointment."

How about doing one and coming back in a few weeks.

Above all I love how they have piercing specialists and tattoo shops have regular piercers.

If we had stickies about shitty piercers and Claires the forum would be nothing but stickies tbh.

I may pop one up about guns but meh. Most people who come on here either learn fast or are educated after the fact. There's an insane amount of information online including entire websites about guns.

I'm surprised the petition web petitions on piercing don't gain traction, but I think thats due to overspecialisation, and because highlighting any part of the industry could damage the industry.

    Its just such a shame.

Just looked up the system they use, seems it pierces with a nose bone? I'm by no means an expert but that doesn't sound like a good idea to me? Also, only 8 weeks before removing and rotating twice a day :/
    Current
1st and 2nd lobes (both ears)
3rd lobe (or very low helix) (right)
    helix (right)
    nose (right)
    tragus x3 (1 left, 2 right)
    conch (right)

    Planned
    helix (or maybe 2) (left)

Nothing Claires does is a good idea

Talking of gun contraptions, the PA one used by a local "school" near me is horrific. That deserves a petition in its own right lol

TBH, I'amazed that any man would want a gun-type piercing in *that* part of his anatomy. We tend to be fairly protective about it

Same, it's vile. I wish the place would get shut down.

Our chemist does noses with little disposable plastic "guns" with an extremely sharp nosebone, and yes they're horrible.
The whole "two-gun-piercings-at-once" thing really isn't exclusive to Claires, our chemists have been doing it for years. I got my firsts done that way at 13, I think the only reason they healed well was because I never touched them but I always remember them being agony for about 6 weeks, the same with my seconds.

I'm a girl and even I wince at the thought of having a gun anywhere near my bits!
