Default When can I change my lip piercing jewely?

Okay, so I've had my lip pierced before but I don't remember how long I waited to change the bar..I think it was only a few weeks. I was in am accident and it had to be removed. I recently went back and got it pierced again. This time it is an internally threaded bar/stud whereas the first time it was just a normal bar where the stud screws on so it didn't matter when I changed the stud. The website of the studio I got it pierced at says to wait 12-24 weeks before changing it. My question is, if I got my lip pierced the beginning of March, when can I change the jewelry?

It's best to wait until it's initially healed which is around 12 weeks as long as there hasn't been any issues. So wait another month.
