Thumbs up Anyone from Denmark (Copenhagen) here? Price of tattoos?

So, I'm from Norway. And it's redicilously expensive to get a tattoo here.. About 1000-1200 NOK per hour (85-100 ).

But I've heard rumors that the prices in Denmark are not too bad compared to Norway, so I was thinking about getting my next tattoo done when hanging out in Copenhagen anyway this summer. I tried google, but with little luck.

So - any Danes here that could tell me if the prices are the same as in Norway?

    Tank you!

I don't think that's actually an unreasonable price - if the artist is extremely good. Maybe it's a side effect of living where I do and being accustomed to higher prices, but our good artists and even the not-so-great ones charge about AUD$100-300 an hour, most being around $150-200 an hour with a base minimum price of $100 for small tattoos

Mods are generally expensive in Australia.

Here you'll find top end artists charging around 70-80 p/hr unless they are insanely good or guesting exclusively or something. (That's around AUD$145 p/hr).

There's a terrible artist near me who charges 75 p/hr btw.

Illywhack you'd be better off posting on Tattoo Planet forums or just contacting some artists.

Thanks Hazel, I'm starting to think EVERYTHING is expensive in Australia!
Maybe I need a trip overseas...

Haha an old friend of mine emigrated over there and said many things are WAY more expensive but on the flipside he got paid a quite a bit more for doing the same job there as he did here.

Yeah it's probably all relative, just feels like such a ripoff when you can go to the UK or USA and pay bugger all for something ten times better than anything you can get here :(

I don't really think 1000-1200 NOK/h is an unreasonable price for a good piece of work, but I do find it interesting to know the prices in other countries in my near proximity.

Norway is generally extremely expensive, on absolutely everything. I don't really care too much about the price, I want good work. But I find it hard to believe the rumors that Danish tattoo artists charge half the price of what they do here..

And thanks for the Tattoo Planet tip
