    Default Nipple bars?

    Hi,
I had both my nipples pierced about 7 years ago and had lots of jewlery over the years. I really like bars with jeweled ends, but nothing seems to last for more than about a year until it tarnishes or the jewels fall out, so I was thinking of investing in ananometal or industrial Strength, but before i do I have a couple of questions that I hope the forum can help with.
    1. Does anyone have experience of these bars, will they last any longer than the cheaper jewlery ?
    2. The sizes are all in inches, my husband did a conversion for me so I know that the 1/2" is 12.7mm and the 9/16 which is 14.3mm. I normally have a 13mm bar for both and this is a good fit so I'm thinking the 1/2" is right but I'm worried it might be a bit tight? I'm sure the 14.3mm is too long though- dilemma, they are too expensive to risk it.

    Thanks

    karen.

This may help you pick the size you need. =) I can't talk about Anato/Neometal or Industrial Strength as I'm too poor to afford them. =P From what I've heard they're incredibly good quality though.

That says 1/2" is 13mm ! i decided if they last then it's worth paying the extra rather than buying new jewlery all the time and they look really nice quality too.

Is it just a visible part that "degrades" in a way which you dislike? Perhaps it wont matter if you can use a standard bar, as long as the threads are right and tight. If you cannot get a bar the length you desire.
    Piercings: 3x Lobe (L), Single Upper Lobe (R), Conch (R), 1.6mm Septum

To do list: Angel Bites, Tongue, Nipples, Navel, Tragus.

    1. Yes they will last longer, they will not tarnish as such and the gems should not ever fall out or become dull over time, if they do then Anatometal jewellery like many other high quality makers comes with a lifetime guarantee.

    2. 1/2" is 12.7mm many charts just round it up/down - however if you contact BAF with what you want then they can request Anatometal make whatever you want to your own specifications.

It's up to you if you think 0.15mm either side will be an issue.

Thanks for the replies, it's the ball ends that I always have the problem with not the bars, they are always fine.
Good advice from Hazel, I had the same thought if 0.3mm would make much of a difference, but I wanted some reassurance before spending the money. :-)

If you're in the UK and decide they're not right for you then you can join the UKJN - a Facebook group to buy/sell/trade jewellery, high quality stuff will sell well. There's also international ones too.

You could possibly look at getting a cheap titanium bar in 1/2", to see if the 0.3mm really is restrictive before spending lots of money of higher quality jewellery? I've done that in the past; bought cheap jewellery to check sizes before buying better grade, more expensive stuff.

Thanks again, good ideas! I've emailed BAF earlier to see what they say about 13mm as Hazel said (gold titanium bars, 6mm balls with lavender gems) See what they say. I also saw a company called "Diablo" who do ananometal ?

Diablo is another jewellery maker. Anatometal is a jewellery maker. Certain shops will sell their stuff along with piercers who have an account with them.

Or are you looking on a site called Diablo?
