Surprisingly after the first 3 days it was no longer irritated; I could bump it etc. and no pain.
I did notice in the cooler months, the ring itself would feel "cooler", and It was slightly annoying so on windy, colder changes I switched it to a retainer.
My nose does run in the colder months, and blowing it is hilarious as the ring flips down (didn't hurt for me, even from day 1)
Thanks for sharing; But when did you actually get the piercing done, was the healing phase in the colder times?
    Piercings: 3x Lobe (L), Single Upper Lobe (R), Conch (R), 1.6mm Septum

Tempted to get my septum done soon too. I wouldn't want to get mine done in winter, but my nose will probably run more in summer because of hayfever. I can't win!

I got mines done mid November last year and during the colder days I did notice the ring being cold but it never bothered me just meant I wrapped my scarf up a bit more.

Sorry, new to BJS and didn't realize you asked a question! I had it pierced summer time, July.

I have allergies and my septum is painful when it's running or when I blow it. Still in initial healing stage

I got my septum pierced around March 9th or so. Almost a month ago! It was still snowing here by that point, and I haven't had any problems with my piercing.

I have accidentally knocked it a few times, which hurt like crazy, but that is to be expected I think. Basically, I never got the "septum cold" and I've never had a problem with the frigid months.

Did you ever get it or decide when you would like to get it?
