The piercer I'm looking at for my nose piercing seems to be good according to this check list, let's hope my instinct is right!
    left side
    1 x lobe

    right side

    1x lobe

    planned

    right nostril
    left helix
    right second lobe

This is a brilliant thread, thanks.

before I knew about the evils of guns, I was ok with getting my lobes gunned..until I got my upper lobes gunned and they swelled up like crazy. It got so bad that I got so scared they were infected that I had to go to a proper piercing shop (Extreme Needle in Covent Garden) and get the gunned ones moved so I could have titanium put in.

Now any piercing on my ears is done with a needle!

Edit: point being, even if the shop is a tattoo and piercing parlour they can still be terrible and use a gun. I now ask a million questions when I go for a piercing..the decent places answer you without getting annoyed because they have nothing to hide..and they encaouage you to come back if the piercing plays up
