Default Tips For Removing Stubborn Jewellery?

So I tried to change my nipple bar a couple of weeks ago and again today. However, the ball seems stuck fast. I've tried using tissue for a better grip and tried fiddling with it after a soak and the shower but no luck.

Normally I'd just leave it be, but I have a sneaking suspicion that it's in the beginning stages of rejection. Maybe it isn't, but I'd like to be able to remove the jewellery if it does get that far!

Any tips would be greatly appreciated as it is not moving an inch.

    Thanks,
    Jx

Latex gloves or if you don't have any then try cling film wrapped round your fingers, failing that go to a piercer!

Ah, I hadn't thought of clingfilm! I expect this is going to be a professional jobby, but I wanted to ask first. Thanks! =)

I usually have a stock of latex gloves for tightening and loosening jewellery ends. Washing up gloves in a pinch might be okay for gripping (like if I can't get a bottle cap off). Or ickle pliers coupled with a latex glove.

Oooh, I hadn't thought of pliers! Although the idea if going near my nipple with one is a bit terrifying. =P Wouldn't pliers damage the ball though?

Wrap the jewellery in ptfe tape or even cloth to prevent damaging it or a glove as suggested above.

Ooh. I misunderstood the post! My bad (that's what happens when I get migraines, I can't comprehend things properly).

Thank you both for the advice though! =) Wondering if it's worth letting my boyfriend have a go (no nails, so he has a better grip), but I'm sort of worried he'll accidentally do me damage... Ah well. I'll give the pliers a try, if not I'll head over to a piercer. There's no rush, really.

I got a cheap mini pliers set from a hardware store. I usually use an edge bit of latex glove between the jewellery and the pliers. Sometimes it's too tricky to do that. (Saying that, I've only used mini pliers to try and grip Anatometal ends in an attempt to screw them into a labret post. Oh, and when adjusting a niobium septum retainer.) Sometimes the latex glove has slipped out of place. I've had no scratches though.

I recommend pliers, especially if you've got your bf to help you. It's amazing how easily they come loose with pliers (I too was a bit "you're coming near my body with metal pinchy things, be EXTREMELY careful!" But you really don't need to be rough usually) and tbqh I've never noticed any damage caused to the jewellery. I'm sad you think it's rejecting though :(
