Like you read my mind! I'm considering it, I still want to get tattooed though but I like the idea of a scarification piece. And I really do love the delicacy of this.
Current: Double nostrils, philtrum, nipple. Various cartilage, 9/16'' lobes.
Retired: Nipple, navel x4, wrist, nape, MD, tongue web x2, lower lip piercings x4, nostril, helix, lobe piercings, septum, cheek piercings.
    4 tattoos.

What is my life for and what am I going to do with it? I don't know and I'm afraid. I can never read all the books I want; I can never be all the people I want and live all the lives I want.

Well Darren needs willing participants to practice on, and I need distractions from inner elbow tattooing!

Haha, as much as I would love to Darren, I think it'll have to wait, my body's not doing a great job of things atm and I don't want to add more pressure for healing.

That's beautiful. I really want a scarification piece done at some point, but that's probably not going to happen for a long, long time.

Would it not have made more sense to do just one or two, let those heal for a few months, see what you're doing wrong and right and take it from there? *shrugs*

A lot of the lines don't look deep enough to give a decent lasting scar but not bad.
    32mm lobe (down from 50mm) : 10mm lobe : 8mm conch punch : 1.2mm Philtrum (down from 2mm) : 12mm oval labret (down from 18mm) : tongue split : scarification x2 : lots of ink :

Most piercing or tattooing apprentices dont wait months inbetween their first few pieces as you would never learn anything after forgetting it inbetween.

As for your comments, i guess not having any teachings in scarification or scalpel use may lead to that, but i trust what i was told and shown from two of the most respected artists in this field whats what, i kinda have an idea of what will and wont work. Thanks for the input though. This is how that piece is looking today though, so you need not worry yourself.
