    Angry 7 day old piercing

Hey I got my tragus pierces 7 days ago and just recently it's swollen up. It's a bit red too. I have been salt soaking twice a day. I has had some yellowy gunk come out. Should I be worried?

All perfectly normal for such a fresh piercing. The yellowy gunk will be lymph, which is a normal part of the healing process. Make sure you're not using more than 1/4 tsp salt per cup of water as more could cause dryness and irritation.

After one week my tragus swelled to the size of the bar. I pushed it through while cleaning it & it didn't like it. So it was gentle care with saline cleaning & some frozen peas & after another week I noticed that i could just see the bar. And then another week & a bit more. Gentle goes. I know why you are worried as you had difficulties with your first tragus piercing. It will be ok!

Its normal. Considering youve had a needle shoved through what is effectivly cartilidge, your body wont like it and will see it as a threat. It will eventually go down slowly, just give it time and all will be well.

I had exactly this experience with my tragus 7 days after it was pierced about 10 weeks ago, it settled after a few days though so hopefully yours will be the same! Just take good care of it - don't fiddle with it, avoid sleeping on it, etc etc etc.
