Thought it might be cool to have a thread to post things you want or have to decorate your house, apartment, flat, etc. and also to share ideas. I love looking at pretty décor and now that I've got a little money coming in I'm gonna work on making my apartment nice and pretty.
I bought this bed set today. Such a good deal for 8 pieces!! And it's cute and springy/summery.

I need to get Pinterest but I've been too lazy and it would probably be bad for my bank account and waistline with all the nice things and yummy food, heh. I love your stuff! Especially the tentacle candlestick holder thing, that's really cool. And the "catula" is so cute!

The home-ware department is right under where I work and it's so hard to not spend my money as I earn it on all the shiny things! Especially when they have awesome offers and add new stock!
Don't think I've mentioned it on here before, but I work in Kitchen, Bathroom and Fitted Bedroom & Furniture sales while training to design kitchens. I love talking about and looking at home furnishings, so this thread is right up my street

We used to have a Laura Ashley concession in the building and when they left they had a humongous clearance. I managed to haggle some extra money off as I worked downstairs from them, and treated myself to a new duvet set and matching chenille throw - they feel amaaaaazing, so much difference between standard bedding and better quality stuff, I'll never go back haha!
This is the style I got, the throw is the same colour just plain instead of patterned,. Fricken love it! And saved myself just over £130, proper chuffed


As my house is rented we aren't allowed to paint or decorate, so currently we have tried to add as much colour as possible to the neverending magnolia.
The walls are covered with hangings like this one


And multi-coloured Indian rag-rugs spread over the floors as the carpets all bland and rental-friendly too.

Last Christmas my partner got me these:

in red and purple from Thailand , he then put pin tacs over the walls and stretched the cables between them, so we have ball lights over 2 walls Also various butterflies, masky things and candles/incense holders all over the place.

As we don't have room for a dinning table and sofa, we chose to get a table and several bean bags.
Really love the feel to my house at the moment, so chilled out!

Those lights rock! It sucks renting and not being able to decorate properly, can't wait to eventually own a place (hopefully) and put all the stuff me and the partner like in it. Definitely want a gaming room for tabletop, hopefully a basement that can be refurbished!

Since I became single after christmasi started on redoing my flat to make it mine instead of ours. So far I've changed the sofas, bought a new armchair and reupholsteredit in some gorgeous ebay frabric, changed curtains and will be painting/wallpapering soon; have it all just need time to do it. I love my home now.

We've done a fair bit of redecorating here, I'll post some pics when I'm on my computer so much of this flat looked awful decor-wise when we got it!
