Agree. Although I do like to watch The Voice, they have some amazing talent on there and the coaches genuinely seem to care about their teams, instead of only being concerned with popularity and ratings like most others are.

What bugs me about this is the fact that everyone's phone was on the table.

Why, in case the conversation around you is so dull that you need to phone/text someone else? Is it a status thing, like hey look at my phone it's awesome and better than yours?
I see people out to dinner or just generally out somewhere (couples or small groups) and at least one of them is always talking/texting/whatever on a mobile phone. How effing rude, especially out on a date!! Put it away and talk to the person/people you're actually WITH.

There is a good reason behind this. We were all on our breaks. We need to know what time to go back to our departments so we aren't late. We work in a casino, we aren't allowed pockets in our uniforms so there is no other place to put our phones when on a break.

No clock in the canteen? Not allowed to wear watches?
But yeah fair enough if you've got no pockets.

    Same here.

In fact we can't stand most of what's on TV, which is why we don't have it.

There is a clock but a lot of the time, we won't get our dinner until maybe 10 minutes after our break has started. By that time, if we go by the clock then we'd still be late. Get to the changing rooms, check the time on our phones and we know exactly what time we need to be back. And the dealers/cashiers are not allowed to wear watches either in case they try hiding chips/money in the straps lol.

Football (and sports in general). Could never understand why an awful lot of people love football, each to their own I guess.
Piercings (some retired) - Septum, nose, double eyebrow, left tragus, left nipple, lip, rook, left lobe and multiple cartalidge.
    - Tattoo of a fantasy style sword on my calf
    - Raven perched on pocket watch tattoo on my right arm
    - Evil skeletal jester on the other calf

^I absolutely loathe watching football, darts, snooker, boxing and several other sports. Wimbledon and the Olympics though I follow pretty avidly. Some sports are more fun to watch and play than others though, but each to their own.
Current: Double nostrils, philtrum, nipple. Various cartilage, 9/16'' lobes.
Retired: Nipple, navel x4, wrist, nape, MD, tongue web x2, lower lip piercings x4, nostril, helix, lobe piercings, septum, cheek piercings.
    4 tattoos.

What is my life for and what am I going to do with it? I don't know and I'm afraid. I can never read all the books I want; I can never be all the people I want and live all the lives I want.

I quite enjoy watching rugby (..those thighs/bums! Yum!) but I don't bother with anything else. I understand enjoying watching or playing a sport, but I don't understand getting angry and violent over it all. All of a sudden friends are effing and blinding each other because they have a different t-shirt on? Why?!

Agreed, it's simple to understand why someone would like a sport but getting hysterical over it, nope, not understanding that bit.
