I'm currently part timing in Levi's, and I don't have any visible tattoos, one of my managers has a throat piece done.

I guess it comes with the kinda job it is, though. I definitely don't think it's the case for every place in retail.

I work in an office for a large company, and they are pretty relaxed. I have a blue chunk in my hair, a nostril and central labret piercing and tattoos on my arms. I am getting a half sleeve started soon. But my tattoos are all easily covered - I have a forearm tattoo, but the office is so cold in the summer, I'm normally wearing long sleeves anyway!!
    Hiya - I'm Emma!

Piercings: lobes x 3, Tragus, Helix, Navel, Conch, Sternum Microdermals x 2, VCH, Central Labret, Forward Helix

Tattoos: Stars on inner forearm, Rat on inner ankle, Dotwork Star Mandala on shoulder & Lotus/Butterfly on hip

My boss is a dick and makes me cover up everything and take out all my piercings :P (if only showing sarcasm was as easy as bolding / underlining / italicising words)

all aboard the sarcasm train ... ugh that is like so unfair your boss is clearly being discriminatory towards you... I think its as bad as racial/gender discrimination... all discrimination is equal... oh and stuff like this http://rantagainsttherandom.files.wo...eople-suck.png stuff like this is definitely comparable to being asked to remove some shiny metal and cover up any tattoos

I plan on owning and running my own business and I don't think I'd mind if my employees had tattoos as long as they aren't visible. Not that there is anything wrong with them, I think tattoos are really cool but I know they can be distracting to most people

At my workplace quite a few people have visible tattoos, but I haven't dared to get one on the upper arm in case I need to switch jobs and that would be a problem. What are your experiences do tattoos on arms easily show through shirts?
