    Smile Conch Questions ?

    Hello all !

I'm getting an inner conch piercing tomorrow (hopefully anyway!) and I have some questions for those of you who have them:

    1) Can I get it pierced at 18/16g ? I really don't like the look of anything bigger.
    2) How long did yours take to heal ?
    3) Do they get knocked around a lot ?
    4) Does it get in the way when using earbud headphones ?
    5) I have a bunch of tiny veins in my conch, if the piercer pierces through one, what's the worst that can happen ? There is plenty of room to do the piercing without hitting them (I think anyway!), I was just curious about what could happen.

I think that's all ! Sorry if something like this already exists or it's in the wrong place, I'm a bit of a noob haha

    1) I'd advise against 18g but 16g should be fine, you'd have to speak to your piercer though, if you want a smaller ball on it then let them know
    2) Dunno, it was never really a problem, felt fine after a few months, can take up to 12 though
    3) Mine didn't (it's an inner conch)
    4) For me no, depends on placement and anatomy though
    5) You'd bleed more and possibly frequently and may have to retire it if the bleeding didn't settle after a while. A good piercer will avoid any significant/prominent veins anyway so it shouldn't be a worry at all.

I don't have one, but I'd definitely recommend 16 or 14g, as Hazel said you can always wear a smaller ball! At this size it means you have a much larger variety of high quality jewellery options tbh.
