Lily is licking my face which really helps me type but here's an update on the Jasmine situation:

Last seen at 4am, appeared collapsed halfway through the cat flap at something like 11pm.
She’s now in the hands of the emergency vet, he reckons she's probably been hit by a car. Sore face around her left eye (eye itself seems ok), one injured paw (left), scuffed claws, possible sort-of concussion. She has no response from her front right leg/paw at all so maybe nerve damage there, possibly a partial dislocation in the shoulder - it's completely limp and seems to have no feeling at all. She’s very very subdued, kind of like a sleepy drunk, but still aware of noises and movement - just not really interested.
Good responses otherwise though, she can just about stand and limp along on 3 paws but would much rather lie down. Hence the bellyflop through the catflap I suppose!
I’m waiting to hear results of x-rays and ultrasound but her chest sounds clear and no other obvious injuries at first look.
She'll be on fluids and painkillers etc overnight at least.

Luckily it's payday but she's already going to cost more than the monthly mortgage payment :P Just hoping she pulls through tbh.
what's a few seconds of pain for a lifetime of shiny?

    Both lobes 1/2", 5mm, 1.6mm
Left rook & 5mm helix punch
Right helix x2 & forward helix
    VCH, 5mm tongue

Thanks Nat. Sorry about your shrimp :(

    Jasmine update:
No major injuries inside or out, no breaks etc. Bit of pneumothorax (air trapped outside the lungs) which was drained off under sedation. Paw injury is just a flesh wound, all stitched up and dressed now. She perked up after fluids and painkillers - I had no idea they gave methadone to cats!! - and she's stable now.
Her right foreleg is still completely unresponsive :( not sure why but it may recover in time. If it doesn't ... we'll consider that later. She's also not eating but I'm putting that down to the stress of the situation.
At the moment I don't know if I'll be getting her home today but if not I'll go and see her and take her blankets that smell of home.
