    I smell of ferret :P

Our pals with the ferrets have a new (friendly!!) big cuddly un-neutered male. He's very musky and now so is my hoody. I think I'll need to wash my hands at least twice more to get them smelling of just human again.

they are gorgeous... it's probably a good thing I live so far away cause believe me if I was closer I would be around constantly for kitty cuddles

in other news I ordered a rat cage over the weekend it's a nice big one with plenty of space for them and hopefully I'll have new fuzzies at the weekend (assuming the cage turns up by then)

Been trying to come up with a new name for potential new bunny. Currently called Snoopy, but we have a Coldplay Bunny (Princess Mylo) so we thought it would be nice to have a Muse Bunny to go with her. No Muse-related things seem to suit bunnies! Sure we'll think of something, especially if/when he actually gets here

The SSPCA don't have any pairs or pairable cats except one elderly pair who are not ready to be rehomed yet?

Cat's Protection haven't answered their email.

Looks like we're going to have to go on a kitty tour :P

^ Yep! They're like rats; very sociable animals. They can become quite destructive if they're an only ferret... adults are pretty big; they can do a lot of damage!

Yeahhh, I've thought about this a lot, and because it'll be a house ferret it'll be socialised with the dogs (the dogs have always been good with small animals) and it will be out with me a lot as I work outdoors. I'd find it very difficult to have the same amount of socialisation with two, and I certainly wouldn't be able to take them both out with me! I think if I didn't have any other animals or people in the house to play with it, I'd get two or 3. I'll see how it goes, and if it seems lonely or distressed, I'll get another...but that would mean them living in the brick garage instead of the house as there's not enough room for a cage that big in the house!
currently: 1st lobes, 2nd lobes, nostril

retired: 1.6mm lobes, 6mm lobes, snug, 2 x helix, septum, 2 x nostril, 5mm lobes, labret, 8mm lobes, left tragus, right conch, right double forward helix

^ Having said that most ferrets are social animals, "single ferret" ferrets certainly exist- especially if you check out a local rescue. If space is an issue there are often ones up for adoption that are described as being best kept as single ferrets. My partner and I rescued our boy ferret 3 years ago in january and by april decided to go adopt his ladyfriend who was still waiting for a forever home. Really glad we have both of them and were able to reunite them. But beware of ferret math- 1+1=3 -it seems quite often people to get carried away and end up with a big business of ferrets before they know it! haha

Might be worth a shot giving her an email and asking if there are any suitable ferrets needing a new home near you?

FINALLY got a call from Cats Protection, they're worried about the road in front of our house :/ as I expected they would be. They've passed my details over to the home visit lady so I'm now waiting for her to call to arrange a visit to check us out lol.

It depends on the cats as well, if they're the type to stay in the garden then that's great but if they like to wander for miles and miles that could be an issue. Apparently they were handed in from their last home because they were in the habit of strolling across a dual carriageway ><

Fish tank is all nice and clean! Seems so worth it for one fish :/.
Current: Double nostrils, philtrum, nipple. Various cartilage, 9/16'' lobes.
Retired: Nipple, navel x4, wrist, nape, MD, tongue web x2, lower lip piercings x4, nostril, helix, lobe piercings, septum, cheek piercings.
    4 tattoos.

What is my life for and what am I going to do with it? I don't know and I'm afraid. I can never read all the books I want; I can never be all the people I want and live all the lives I want.
