Yes it's normal for a piercing to be a little annoyed and tender after it's been knocked. Leave it alone.
what's a few seconds of pain for a lifetime of shiny?

I snagged my new nostril piercing (2.5 months old) the other night on my fingernail and it hurt so bad it was literally pulsating. I've been struggling with a wee bump, and this whole snagging ordeal made it go from being unnoticable flesh coloured to red-purple... I think it bled underneath :( It's okay now though, not irritated anymore.
