So I want to get my septum pierced, however pain is an issue. I've had my nipple done, the pain about 8/10 and my tongue (numbed) 4/10. So from experiences or stores, out of 10 what should i be expecting? Any tips would also be appreciated
THANKS!!!

    Impossible to quote on a scale as everyone feels pain differently, also everyone will have a different experience. Most people find it's a sharp pinch and it's over. Healing is often simple using SSS method or leaving it alone, get it done with a retainer or CBB that can be flipped up if needed and leave it flipped up or down for the healing period, leave it about 3 months before any jewellery changes.

    We have a septum thread here.
    We have an experiences/diary section here where many a septum piercing has been documented.

    Take some time to search and look around the site and educate yourself, if you get really stuck come back here.

    Also no good piercer will numb a piercing, it doesn't work and can cause chemical burns.

    SSS = Sea Salt Soak, this is a well known and correct aftercare method, thread here that explains it all. A sea salt solution is also known as saline.
    CBB = Curved Bar Bell

    You're welcome...

    My septum was the least painful piercing ever. It hurt less than my lobes! On a scale of 1-10, its a 3 (with 1 being I couldn't feel it)

    Everyone's pain tolerance is different, but mine didn't hurt nearly as bad as I thought it would. I went into it expecting eye-watering pain(literally, a lot of peoples' eyes water), and left the shop saying "Was that it?!". My nostril hurt worse, honestly. 2/10 on the pain scale for me. Just a quick pinch, some warmth, a bit of mild stinging for a little while afterward, and then smooth sailing till it healed(which was quite fast too). My septum was honestly the easiest piercing I've EVER had.
