    Cool Rook Rook Rook :)

I got my rook pierced on 01.05.12

I've wanted it done for a while but been too scared, so I just decided to take the plunge.

I got there, Stu wiped my ear my alcohol. I DID opt to have this one numbed, which I never have before! He put cottony stuff in my ear and then sprayed my rook with the anesthetic stuff. It felt really cold. He then popped on the clamps which was fine, then in with the needle.

It wasn't massively painful - probably about a 5/10. Enough to make me say 'Fuck!' but it was fine really.

The jewellery insertion was really ouchy. Not fun at all! but it was over before I knew it.

Anyway, a photo (sorry for it's bad quality!)

It's pretty swollen. Stu ran through the aftercare with me - SSS twice a day methinks. I also got my tragus repierced last month.

Just a snug and a conch to go and my ears are finished! I also booked my next tattoo - 7th August. Yay!

    xx

Beautiful. I don't find numbing works to be honest, i got my nape numbed but it wasn't numb, lol! :p It still hurt.

My rook was done when I got my helix done, I thought both felt the same, rook was difficult getting the jewellery in though. Rook hurts the most during healing, it just takes forever to heal.

Looks very pretty, "numbing" will not nor ever work, it shouldn't be used by any piercer ever, dangers outweigh the nil benefit it has. Hope it heals lovely for you!

Aha yep you're right it literally had no effect to be honest, but weirdly set my mind at ease? Anyway, I do love the guys at Holey Skin and trust them a lot so all was well in the end

Yeah it can be dangerous stuff causing chemical burns and delay healing, silly for a placebo effect.

None the less I hope it heals fine for you!

Rook has been an absolute DREAM! honestly the most well behaved piercing I've ever ever had. It feels too good to be true haha. There is no swelling, pus, crusties, pain... it's awesome!
