Absolutely. Even if one is not an anarchist you can't deny that we've had a positive effect on society. Anarchists helped to liberate Paris at the end of WWII, we helped to institute the 40 hour week in the US and have been an important force for the rights of working people worldwide.

A more interesting question, is does society have any place within the mind of a solipsist?

Also, are we talking anarchists as in the 'something for nothing' types, or proper ones?

I don't get the "something for nothing" hint.
By the way you have a point there. I have a place in society if I recognize society as one of my values and beliefs. If society labels me "anarchist" it tries to do what it simply can't, giving disorder an order, by assigning it a precise word (and an ordered concept along with it) so that it can be used within the ordered system and denied to keep that order. It just doesn't make sense. Hence, I guess, the thread question.

what do you mean? in this current incarnation of society? anarchists are revolutionary so would be interested in destroying current society for the creation of a new one
