Default Nipple Piercing: Barbell or Ring?

If you have nipple piercings, what jewelry do you wear in them -- barbells or rings (captive bead or something else)? And why did you choose which jewelry you chose?
    Piercings:
    PA, 0ga (8mm) 3/4 inch circular barbell
    Nipples, 10ga (2.6mm) 1/2 inch barbells

When getting them first done you'll want barbells so they can heal nicely without being irritated by a ring. I still have a barbell in mine, I prefer the look tbh.

When I had mine I used a barbell, just purely because they are more comfortable and tend to heal better (plus it was the cheaper option)

I had them pierced with bioplast barbells and now usually wear a ring in my left and a bar in my right. Though I do find that the ring can flip up and irritate my nipple sometimes which a week or so back with a bar settles.

I wear barbells and have had no real problems, a barbell can only really move side to side freely whereas a ring is possibly more problematic.

Barbells. Rings are so uncomfortable. I tried them for a few days and couldn't deal with it.
Current: Both lobes at 0ga, frenum at 12ga, both nipples at 14ga, septum at 14ga.
Future: Quite a bit of ink, bigger first lobes, helix, nape microdermals, second frenum, second lobes, conch, apadravya, ampallang, lorum.

Thanks, everyone, for your input ... barbells were the clear winner, and that's what my piercer strongly recommended, too. Today I did it! Both nipples pierced this afternoon, and I'm wearing 12 gauge 1/2 inch barbells! They ache just a tiny bit tonight, and bled just a couple of drops, but otherwise look and feel wonderful. Happy!

Barbells always. Always have had them and I'll never try rings. I think barbells look better.
