Question considering conch punch - advice?

really appeals to me but the thought makes me queasy - i imagine lots of blood - am i wrong? people who have had one done, would you recommend to someone else? did it heal well? was it very painful? what size do they 'normally' punch to?
    thank you.

I understand about the queasy part, not because of the blood, I can stomach awful things, but for some reason it makes me cringe.
    So I'm stretching mine
The size depends on your wishes, it can be 4mm, 6mm, 8mm....

26mm both lobes, 6mm second lobes, 6mm left inner conch, 8mm septum, 2.4mm inner labia, 1.6mm nipples, 1.2mm nostril

i searched google and found an old thread on here which had very gory pictures, they said it was incredibly painful... still not entirely put me off... however i fancy an outer conch punch so i don't need it to be big so 4-6mm would probably be fine. hmm...
stretching - don't fancy that, my lobes are a pain in the rear so i can't imagine how difficult stretching cartilage must be!

Agreed, something about it just grosses me out, and I went the stretching route as well.

Huh, when I stretched my conch I didn't have any crusties or virtually any pain at all. It was a weird pressure type feeling. But I never had any lymph, it just ached for about a day or two after when I slept on it.

I'm considering a conch punch, but then again with job opportunities etc I might just get it pierced at 3.2mm.

I had one conch punched! I stretched the other one.
Wasn't that bloody (that I saw/felt anyway, but I did have tissue stuffed in my ear for a little while), and definitely wasn't too painful. I'd do it again rather than stretch, or probably even pierce. Its less of a stabby pain and I find that much easier.

Just make sure you get long enough jewellery... I think I shattered my cartilage when I was little and it swelled up about four times more than it ought to of. Turned out okay in the end though XD
There was a bit of scarring for a while, but it flattened after a few months (and squishing it with jewellery)
Complete with a green straightjacket with circuit boards stuck all over!

Retired: Nape, neck and chest micros, nipple, 4g tongue, eyebrow, snakebites. Several lobes, labrets and nostrils. Rook ):

I had mine punched at 6mm (had to down size recently as i got hit in the side of the head playing football). I was worried about how much it would hurt and how much pain there would be but I was pleasently suprised. It did hurt but not as much as I thought it would.

For me this was something that looked a hell of a lot scarier than it actually was.

hmm, maybe i'll put it on the back burner for now as it's not really something i can change my mind about after the event.
