    Default Tongue Stretching

if anyone is interested... i couldn't find much info myself when i decided to stretch my tongue piercing.
A10g 9mm titanium barbell with acrylic ends arrived this morning in the post, my first tongue piercing was at the standard 14g, i found 12g slipped in effortlessly, the 10g encountered a little resistance at the top of my tongue where the hole must be a bit smaller but with a little pressure and a tiny sting it went through and is now sitting very happily. Hours later no pain or swelling so it must have just been a little bit covered over at the top. obviously everyone's tongues are different but to anyone thinking of stretching their tongue - the first 2 sizes didn't even require tapers. I am now not sure whether to stay at 10g or go to 8g. decisions, decisions!

if anyone at a larger size has any input it would be welcomed. thanks!

Interesting, I found the bottom of my tongue was tighter than the top.

I'd recommend using internally threaded bars OR the solution I have made up for taking my tongue to 3mm ... a 3mm bar lathed down to take 1.6mm ends (from BAF) coupled with a 3mm x 25mm long cone presto, a taper that unscrews to become the bar!
what's a few seconds of pain for a lifetime of shiny?

    Both lobes 1/2", 5mm, 1.6mm
Left rook & 5mm helix punch
Right helix x2 & forward helix
    VCH, 5mm tongue

    ^Handiful!
Although I stretched my tongue fine (I found the bottom tighter too), the taper to jewellery part was insanely hard! Just slipped around and failed, and then I made my tongue sore etc etc. Ended up wearing a pincher in there for an hour once, lol.
It loosened up very quickly though, and kinda stretched itself in a few weeks.

I wear glass plugs in mine, comfy! Otherwise I'd have like.. 10mm balls :/
Complete with a green straightjacket with circuit boards stuck all over!

Current: 1" lobes, 4g conches, septum, 6g helix, daithy- helix, helix industrial, bridge, 8g both nostrils, one lonely nipple and both cheeks, vert labret an a sternum micro. Forearm branding, calf cutting and a split tongue.
Retired: Nape, neck and chest micros, nipple, 4g tongue, eyebrow, snakebites. Several lobes, labrets and nostrils. Rook ):
    Next up: moar leg!

    And no tattoos D:

ooh that's a very good idea! any kind of tongue stretching with tapers sounds awkward to me lol but that sounds like a smart idea! thank you.

Glass plugs really? and they stay put? sounds like an awesome idea. i'll have to try to find some pictures to see what that would look like as i'd never considered it before.

For some reason clear silicone o-rings like to fly off, but I've never had a problem with black ones. Maybe I need to find some smaller clear ones...
But yeah, it stays put fine, and I find it ever so comfy
I have a GG clear 'conch' plug atm. Could take a picture if you like.. but its not very eventful tbh >.<

Here you go! My face looks a mental shape, lol
Inside my mouth the top flare and bottom o-ring are quite snug (pretty much flat), just sticks out when my tongue does; like when I try to take a picture haha.
    Dribbly
