Given the number of views and lack of replies, I'm guessing people are being too polite to state the truth and the feeling I have which is "not good"...

I quite like it, the linework could be better, but it's a good start on a cover. Let me know how it goes esp in terms of healing, I have similar things that will be covered eventually (hopefully!). PM me if you like. Will it be coloured?

Cheers. Yes it will be coloured. I have another finished phoenix (shaded and coloured) at the top of my arm that looks superb. With this one I think the angle looks a bit strange and for a while thought it was anatomically incorrect. I'm prone to being impatient and think I should have been more reflective on the design... though having traced the picture it does look ok.

Cheers Lucy, though I'm still not 100% convinced with it.

I'll keep quiet about the artist for now Pingu. I'm not sure if it's my paranoia or if/when it's completed I'll feel differently about it. I've got a problem with its neck, when I look at it the angle of the spinal curve looks wrong, as if it's broken. Also the wing on the far side - fine on a flat piece of paper but wrapped around my arm I have issues with it.

ok, but outlines always look a bit rubbish (to my untrained eye anyway) and much better when they are coloured in. Also ink on areas which move a lot can sometimes look odd in terms of angles depending on which way you bend and how you look at it..... good luck anyway...

It looks good, would be good to see when it's all coloured in.
