Yay for GWS pre-orders! I was hoping BAF would be able to start that ever since GWS stopped their retail side. Saying that, I got Bill/FrozenFire to make me a custom 10g df septum plug, and it's great! I'd probably go back to him again if I decide to stretch any further.

Hmm...neither did I until I got my septum pierced. Then it would hurt when the end of my nose pressed against the can even a little. Maybe it does depend on your anatomy; like everything else.

    And...

Finally managed to email a link from my Blackberry to my iPod. Managed to flip my new retainer down comfortably after it settled in. I lovers my septum! -

Ack, I can't believe I'm thirty five soon. Sorry about the red face. Had just got in and I was boiling and hungry.

After an incredibly enjoyable 10 minutes with my fingers up my nose, I just managed to get my first tunnel through my septum at 2.4mm, having used CBBs before. Felt a slight twinge as it passed through the far side (probably healed slightly curved due to the CBBs) but I already can't feel it. I've wanted a tunnel in it for a while because the CBBs keep flapping around and making it itch, so yay for me. It's also made the piercing completely and utterly invisible unless I really want someone to see, which may be advantageous at times.
Current: 2 in my tongue, 10mm left lobe, 9mm right lobe, septum, nipples, apadravya

I'm hopefully getting my septum pierced in a couple of weeks (v. excited!) and am wondering what type of jewellery is the best to have in whilst it's healing. I keep seeing people posting about having "retainers" in their septum piercing, but I'm a little confused as to the difference between septum retainers and ordinary circular barbells? Ideally, I would like to wear a small circular barbell in it but if a retainer is better for healing etc., I really don't mind as long as I can flip it up so I don't knock it during the healing process. If anyone can enlighten me, that would be great!

    Piercings: lobes x 1 (l), lobe x 2 (r), 4mm lobe (r) cartilage x 1 (r), rook (r), nipple (r)

Want: septum, medusa, conch, forward helix, right nostril, vertical tragus, more tattoos

A retainer is a U-shape, rather than a circle. It tends to sit tighter, esp when flipped up, and generally moves around less than a CBB. However, since it doesn't have ends, like a CBB, it's slightly easier to knock out sometimes, but if kept flipped up, that won't be a problem.
Current: Double nostrils, philtrum, nipple. Various cartilage, 9/16'' lobes.
Retired: Nipple, navel x4, wrist, nape, MD, tongue web x2, lower lip piercings x4, nostril, helix, lobe piercings, septum, cheek piercings.
    4 tattoos.

What is my life for and what am I going to do with it? I don't know and I'm afraid. I can never read all the books I want; I can never be all the people I want and live all the lives I want.
