Wahey, welcome to the septum club! I didn't see the needle either thank God, my piercer told me to close my eyes! I didnt need telling twice lol. I love getting piercings but I do not want to see the needle going in ha! When I had my septum done I was so nervous I felt sick and thought I might pass out. I was so close to telling them to stop and that I'd changed my mind lol. Glad I didn't now!

Thanks! I think he forgot to tell me, and I forgot to do it. I've never actually seen the needle at all. Either before or after any of my piercings until today. I didn't actually see it go in. I freaked and pulled away before it was even three inches from my nose. I had to close my eyes. There's a pic in my diary. It's flipped up for the healing now though. https://www.bodyjewelleryshop.com/fo...19#post1437019

The past two winters have been COLD but I've yet to see icicles on my jewelry
The last size I regularly wore a ring in was 5mm, that was perfectly fine-since you're mostly breathing through the nose, it doesn't get cold enough to be irritating.
One thing I did notice though, with temperatures under -10 celsius the air started condensating on the jewelry upon breathing out, thus it felt like I had a runny nose at times.
Hi, 'm Velts. Fear not, I'll only bite on mutual consent & in a very specific setting.

-10 C yeeesh brrr. After doing the conversion to Fahrenheit that is cold. The only person I know in real life with a septum was telling me how bad winter was. I should have known she was full of it. She's the one that told me "Tooth Fairy" wasn't a scary movie. ps. it is. Thanks guys. At least I know I wont get icicles now and Velts I love your "I'll only bite on mutual consent." It makes me laugh every time I see it.

What is my life for and what am I going to do with it? I don't know and I'm afraid. I can never read all the books I want; I can never be all the people I want and live all the lives I want.

My septum is at 1.6mm. My jewellery is warm. Helluva lot warmer than what my hands are at present, and I'm indoors! My septum jewellery doesn't get colder when I'm out either; well, not that I've noticed anyway.
