I have two conches, both got bumps, however weren't too painful, I passed out when I got my rook, and it rejected within a year anyway.

how can u tell if its rejecting or going to reject? I know its different for other people like some poeple can have a piercing for 5 years and it wont reject whilst others will have it for 5months and it rejects. :\ thats what I'm most worried about when i think of getting a new piercing ahahah!!

In my case, it never settled down, never properly healed, and just kept swelling and subsiding, getting red, lymphing, then stopping for a month or so, then starting again. Also, I could see the bar moving.

I got mine when I was 15, I think my piercer does 14+ with parental consent for anywhere on ears but I'm sure it's different at different places.

I have a conch, which has been very easy except one moment when it decided to get angry, and a 5 month old rook, which developed a bump and I have managed to get rid of it. I love both, conch has probs been easier but rook is prettier. I also have a tragus (easiest of all of them, no bumps, no angry piercing ) and a helix. Keloids are rare; don't be put off by them!

Ahh kk ^_^ what is the healing process like for Rook and Conch? I've heard that the conch usually isn't too bad but the rook gets infected easily?

my first conch felt healed within 4 months , as did all other individual conh piuercings but y double onch (pierced at the same time) took a good year to settle down.
My rook took about 8months- a year to feel ok without it being sore

It depends on each individual studio I wont do them under 16, might be best to ring around and ask different studios
