I changed mine from a curved bar to a horse shoe within a week. It healed so much faster because I could clean it better. my advice would be to change it when you like ( as long as you keep everything squeaky clean!) after about a month or so. My septum healed in about a month! x

I'm presuming that this is just normal seeing as a ruddy great needle was shoved through my nose!
Thank you so much for understanding that! You have no idea how many calls I get every week because people think they have an infected piercing and want to know what to do about it. lol. I very calmly explain to them that, as we discussed before AND after their new mod, (and is on their aftercare sheet) that some redness, swelling, and discharge are to be expected, seeing as how I shoved a 14g needle through it yesterday. lol. In 9 years I have only come across 3 truley infected piercings, and WOW they were gross!

I think my septum was a freak of nature or something. It never swelled, discharged, or was what I would call "new piercing" sore. It was barely tender, and only for 2 days. I changed the jewelry in mine 6 days later but I would never reccomend that to a client.
