You sort of start thinking anything's possible if you've got enough nerve.

I've never had anything you had lol! A lot of illness as a baby though and some as a young one.

As for tattoos if you know what you want and have the design then take it in to an artist who specialises in that kind of design and they will usually redraw and show you the finished design.

If you don't have a design then explain what you want and they will draw it or show them examples of what you want but what you may want tweaking/changing and they will draw it up for you.

I've had everything going. I was a very sick kid - it's a running joke in my family now that in all my childhood photos, you can tell a mile off that I'm sick haha. I had my tonsils out before I could talk but worst was meningitis. All it left me with was shocking hearing though

I had chickenpox, some impressive falls/bumps/bruises, a triply misdiagnosed allergic reaction to ABs and bells palsy.. I think that was about it? My aunt (not the one from Saturday) had measles though which left her with awful sight and she still gets every cold going, 50+ years later, scary to think how one little virus can have such a lasting effect!

In retrospect it is strange that when I was a child, measles was considered by most people to be "mild" (especially in children) despite the fact that it can cause quite severe problems in some people. So much so that it was normal to try to infect other children with measles (e.g. by having a party). The feared diseases were polio and TB, although vaccines had just been created for polio, and BCG existed for TB.

And I suspect a lot of people who had chickenpox as children will be grateful that it sounds like a vaccination for shingles now exists!

I'm incredibly grateful to my Mum, who has twigged on how desperate we are for money and has offered to take us shopping tonight and buy us some food. I love her to pieces.
