The skin divers seem to last pretty well in front of Tragus just need to watch out for catching them.

Not every Tragus can be pierced if it is to small then it will either grow out or you will have to have it so close to your face that it can cause problems with healing.
I had a girl in today and although she had enough Tragus on the front it would have been really deep into her ear hole which may have cause problems with healing, so I told herthis and she opted not to have it done.

Cheers rainbow, hope that helped a bit. Unfortunately now its not there anymore but def want it done again. If you can get your tragus done then go for it, I think its soooo pretty. And I honestly thought that an md next to tragus was gona be well common whn I had it but No one I know has seen one before. Although I must admit of everyone I know I am most modded up (which is a bit rubbish considering the amount I have lol).

Cheers aswell Pinxy, might try a skin diver there next. I know its a really stupid question but obviously there's scar tissue where my md was so Im guessing if I go for a skindiver in the same place, it's gota be placed next to the scar tissue & not over it. SOrry I know its a bit thick but just wanted to double check.
While I'm pestering you about this, forward helix's....good idea?? are they a pain in the arse to heal like helix''s in general

If you are having the skin divers using the dermal punch method then the scar were the md was can just be removed instead of just going next to it

Just out of curiosity, do Microdermals eventually reject? I've heard they only last 3-5 years. If I got one I'd want it to be completely permanent. I don't want to take out anything that I've worked so long to heal.
    What I've Got:
    Lip Ring-Right
    Scaffold-Left
    Both Lobes
    Orbital Helix-Right
    Nostril-Left

    What I Want:
    Sternum Microdermal
    Snug-Both ears
    Tragus-Both ears
    Tongue Possibly?

Depends where you get them on your body I think. High movement areas and places where it's likely to catch (eg hips, wrists) - chances are they won't last long. Remember they are quite tiny.
I don't think I've heard of a microdermal lasting as long as 3 years? Pinxy, how old are yours?
what's a few seconds of pain for a lifetime of shiny?

    Both lobes 1/2", 5mm, 1.6mm
Left rook & 5mm helix punch
Right helix x2 & forward helix
    VCH, 5mm tongue

    Hi Sarah,

Kitebunny's right it depends where you have them really. I had 2 skindivers (one on each wrist) & they lasted about 6 months cos I was catching carrier bags on them and things like that. My skin diver I'm sure was like two years & honestly mine just came out & that was that. Didn't need taking out or anything. I think it would have lasted longer had it not been yanked out beforehand.

Then again no piercing is permanent is it? There's always a risk it will reject or migrate etc so to be honest 3-5 years I think is pretty good going. I might be wrong though cos I'm no pro trust me!lol but just a thought init.

Interesting point. Most of my piercings are 8+ years old and staying - the exception was the nips, but that's more of an anatomy issue.
I think that with the exception of surface piercings and anatomical unsuitability, almost any piercing could potentially be permanent.

Disagree here....or did you mean to say that all piercings have the potential not to be permanent? If so you could say that about literally any aspect of life I guess.
