Default Yay I am so chuffed!

Went to open day...and now I am officially a funn time student Starting my extended year (which is only till may lol) on tuesday, 2 days a week, then start my foundation degree in Animal Management Huzzah!

AND the tutor basically said I can keep my snakes there, and get to choose what species we get in Considering getting DWA liscence....Gaboon viper?! I think so

Anyone else do anything similar? This year is focussed on catching up on the science side of things...which worries me since I think im abit thick and not good at clever science stuff..but gonna try my hardest

Congratulations Do you have a career in mind at the end of it?

What snakes do you have? I'm a bit in love with snakes lately

Sorta of similar (in that it's animal/sciencey) all being well I'll be starting vet school next year

Oh wow that's a hell of a lot of snakes! Well jealous, I would love to have a reticulated python at some point but it won't be for a long time yet (like after I've owned a smaller snake or two and actually have some money)

Sounds like you have some interesting career options too. I'd like to work with exotics but I fear arachnids and insects so it doesn't really seem practical haha

Hmm can't say i am in love with the insects and spiders...well some harlequin beetles...but no not good if phobic! Maybe just be a snake only vet nurse? lol

Crikey how on earth do you afford to keep all that lot?

I suppose I could just do snakes but I figure that's probably a bit limiting. I like the idea of being a large animal/farm vet too though so it's all good, no phobias there. Most people don't seem to see the appeal of being a farm vet but I dunno, the work experience I've enjoyed most has been on farms and I think I'd like being out and about a lot

Yeah see that's what appeals to me but everyone else just goes on about how I'll have my hand up a cow all the time

Exactly! I think the problem is just that I work with morons and the think farm vets spend all day every day shoulder deep in a cow
