    It would just be easier to put 1/4tsp in a mug and decant into a smaller cup/glass if required then you know you're getting it bang on.

    So... I've been making it waaaaay too strong... Should have come here first lol
    Piercings I have:
    - 12mm Right lobe
    - 3 Right lobe standard sized earrings
    - 5 Left cartilage piercings
    - 1 Left lobe standard sized earring
    - 1 Navel bar
    - 1 Left Eyebrow

    Piercings I want:
    - Right tragus
    - Lip
    - Tongue web
    - 2 inverse diagonal navel piercings
    - Left hip bar


    Retired: None yet

    Tattoos: None yet, but I have 18 designed- Not sure if I'll get all of them

    Alright then. How long do they keep btw? I did premix some in a water bottle to use for quick cleaning when I don't have time for soaks... Not that I'll be using this particular batch after having learned I got the ratio all wrong... >_>

    Store it in the fridge and reheat for a later date. I can't see how salt water can go off or anything but as long as you're not storing it for months/years it will probably be fine.

    Personally, I find it easier to weigh the salt, rather than using volume measures such as teaspoons (nominally 5ml in the UK). Ideally it should be 9g salt per litre of water, so 1/4tsp per 250ml water is about right (or approximately 2g salt per 222g water).

    Thanks for the excellent advice, much of which I was not aware. A little effort at the beginning can save a lot of disappointment in the end.
