    Default Nape :D

So today was my first day back at college, wasn't feeling too great but decided on impulse to get another piercings, since it's been a while since my last.Since i've been wanting this for aggggggeeeees I thought i might as well go for it.
Got it done at tattoo art in Bury(though I don't think many of you are from round that part, still worth a mention since it's a great studio.)This was my first piercing there and the girl doing it was so nice-as well as complimenting my conch to conch industrial .
Painwise it was about a 4/10,I think because I haven't had one for a while I was surprised by the pinch, but not really painful as such, and I didn't find the jewelery being put in as bad as I thought it would be.Also I think it bled the least.Dressings still on atm,but I lovelovelove this one, hopefully it won't be too much of a bugger to sleep on.Pics willl be up later-probs tomorrow

Congrats! I love napes. Mine is having a fit atm, but it is over a year old. Piercer says it still has some life left in it yet....

Good luck with it, looking forward to pics!

Haha, thanks guys. It's been the easiest so far, can't even feel t atm though am a bit paranoid about it coming out or something, which I know can't really hapen but i'm gonna be ultra careful sleeping tonight .Only thing is-mines a surface bar but it looked quite small, like it's not a really long typical nape bar(that i've seen from pics).Would that affect it,or is it just down to general preferance for bar length?

I have two nape piercings, one is longer and one short. The short one is actually doing the best of the two. I think it is more down to anatomy than anything else. i.e. what will fit the way your neck moves etc as well as some personal preference.

    Am I even making sense?!

Yeah, that does make sense(to me at least ).I thinnk she said she's more confident using shorter bars, asnd she's found them to have higher success rates.Hopefully it will heal up fine,it doesn't look really small on my neck,so i'm not too fussed.Just took the dressing off it,going to do a sss shortly, but i'm hoping i will have this for a VERY long time, tis my new favourite piercing

i guess longer bars put more on the pressure if not fitted right on the skin above the bar? i have no idea lol my one would have been so much better if it had been shorter!

I think that's what she was trying to explain to me,dunno if it's true,i'm no professional but seems logical, though i'll see how this heals up,i'm already thinking it'd be nice to add another
