Default Want to get auricle pierced BUT

The healing time varies from site to site, on here it's 2-3 weeks - is that accurate?
I need to take mine out in about 3/4 weeks and I'm getting it pierced tomorrow, according to this website it should be pretty much healed, however I am sceptical of this.
Can anyone who's got it pierced tell me how long it actually does take to heal? Thank you.

Auricle piercings are through the cartilage, so it will be a LOT longer than 2-3 weeks before it will be fully healed. To be honest, no piercing is fully healed in that time, even the easiest healers take longer than that for the fistula to fully form. You're looking at months, not weeks.

Also, even if it was healed in less than a month, it's highly unlikely that you'd be able to take the jewellery out for any length of time without either pissing it off royally or the piercing closing up.
these make me cool rite guys??

Thank you! - I don't have many piercings but somehow I thought that amount of time wasn't quite right.
Can someone tell the website to change the healing time information on some of its piercings, it's very misleading!

Out of curiosity, why would you need to take it out? I've had some of my auricle piercings for a few years now but I reckon if I took them out they'd at least begin to close up within the day. And they took between 6-18 months to fully heal for me. 4 weeks healing time would be amazing, if only eh
    Stabbings I still have
    Right ear
    : 2 x helix, conch & rook
Left ear: helix, conch & tragus
    Tongue web, nostril, septum
    Triangle, VCH & 2 x outers

Get a retainer, it will most likely close if you take it out.
Also, I thought auricle was a really high up lobe piercing, not through cartilage? Maybe that's why they "shortened" the healing time.

Even so it will still take longer than 2-3weeks to heal.

All of the pictures I saw looked like they were definitely through cartilage. They're basically helix piercings. Although, technically speaking, all ear piercings are auricle piercings

And I never got the hang of what people consider an "auricle"
