    Reminded from the walmart and asda thing - why are Walkers crisps called Lays in America?

    Likely the simple mindedness of us Americans made us associate the word "Lays" with having sex, thus selling more potato chips...

    No they are different animals. But Walmart now own Asda.

    Yeah, Asda are owned by Walmart but Walmart offer a lot more different things rather than just the food/clothes that most Asda's do, they're definitely not exactly the same. Thank god Asda don't do ear piercing and sell body jewellery (AFAIK anyway, I've only ever seen earrings/necklaces in there).
