So, my nostril piercing is one week old today. I absolutely love it! It still hasn't caused me any trouble at all.
I've generally been doing two 10-minute SSS a day (maybe one or two days when I've only done one) - reading comments on swimming's thread, it seems that two 10-minute SSS a day could be a bit overkill, so seeing as my nostril is absolutely fine and it's now a week old I will cut down to one 10-minute SSS a day. Do people agree this sounds like a good idea?

I do two five minute soaks per day. I was told that's enough.
It's funny how you had yours pierced one day after mine, so we'll be reaching those important milestones (healing-wise) at around the same time. Haha.
I am impatient for healing. And I unfortunately had a little mishap with mine, I hope you don't have any with yours.
Soaking for longer is fine - its the actual number of soaks you don't want to increase as you want to give your piercing time to recover! Soaking for longer doesn't have any major benefits but it does feel niceOriginally Posted by jelly

Well, my nostril piercing is 10 days old now and - touch wood - is still going great. It's completely comfy, and I've cut down to one sea salt soak a day. I have occasionally noticed a very very small amount of crusties around it, possibly because it is healing well, possibly because I am only doing one soak a day... who knows. But it's going great, I'm keeping it clean, not touching it, and I absolutely love it. Here's a photo that really shows it off:

Thanks guys... yep, on mine and my boyfriend's boat. Teeth are the outcome of years and years of braces... hence my apprehension towards oral piercings... but I sooo want my tongue pierced.

Forget the tongue piercing! Not worth it at all in my experience. Mine chipped my teeth a lot.
